About us

The company was founded in 1981 as Sooner Micro Systems (SMS) when the first application was developed for the Northeast Area Vocational School in Afton and Pryor, Oklahoma. That first application was called the Vo-Tech Student Reporting System (VSR). Since that first system was installed, hundreds of schools in over 25 states across the country have implemented student information management systems from SMS/SchoolDESX.

In 2003 a new company was formed named SchoolDESX Technologies in order to provide growth resources for launching the new SchoolDESX product. SchoolDESX Technologies acquired the rights and responsibilities previously owned by Sooner Micro Systems. This change created a formidable cutting edge company providing our customers with the most outstanding support and innovative software systems available throughout the educational industry.
